E-Fluent started building with Camoflauge Monk about making an EP in the beginning of 2016, the same time that the HBO show, VINYL, premiered on the air. As he watched the show (about a fictional record label in 1970's NY) Monks beats seemed to serve as a perfect backdrop to it all. Suddenly he had a vision for the project.
Loosely 'hosted' by the lead character from VINYL, Richie Finestra, the EP takes you on a ride through all the grit & grime of old New York. With features from Minneapolis' MUJA MESSIAH and Buffalo's BENNY THE BUTCHER. E-Fluent seems right at home over Monk's production, and handles every song with ease.
As Finestra muses on the opening track, "Tag Slogan", “Crime, relationships, drugs, sex. All the madness of this city, it was like a fucking soundtrack..."
